Health Officer

About the role

The Health Officer will lead workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe environment for all employees. This full‑time position is based in Abuja’s Marina district and reports to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine workplace health and safety inspections.
• Develop and implement health and wellness programs for staff.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Maintain accurate health records, incident reports, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate medical screenings, vaccinations, and health awareness campaigns.
• Liaise with hospitals, clinics, and regulatory agencies.
• Train employees on health, hygiene, and emergency response procedures.
• Ensure first‑aid kits and medical supplies are stocked and maintained.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Public Health, Nursing, Environmental Health, Health Education, or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Valid professional certification or license where applicable.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
