Head of Trust Services

About the role

The Head of Trust Services will lead the development and delivery of fiduciary, estate‑planning and wealth‑preservation solutions for high‑net‑worth individuals and corporate clients, driving growth of private and corporate trust mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and convert new private and corporate trust mandates, building relationships with HNW/UHNW individuals, families, corporates and professional advisers.
• Develop cross‑selling opportunities and deepen penetration of existing client relationships to increase revenue and assets under administration.
• Provide strategic oversight of trust administration, ensuring compliance with governing documents, Nigerian law and SEC regulations.
• Lead the design of tailored estate‑planning, wealth‑preservation and asset‑protection solutions.
• Review trust deeds, wills and related transaction documents, providing technical input.
• Lead, coach and develop the Trust Services team to achieve productivity and professional excellence.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance and Asset Management to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Monitor regulatory and macro‑economic developments and translate them into business opportunities and risk responses.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of senior‑level experience in business development and transaction origination within trust or wealth‑management services.
• Strong knowledge of trust administration, estate planning, wealth preservation and fiduciary structures, particularly under Nigerian law.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, corporate and institutional clients.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercial acumen with a track record of converting relationships into revenue.
• High attention to detail, sound judgement and the highest standards of professional integrity.
