Head of Finance

About the role

We are looking for a commercially astute Head of Finance to shape the financial strategy and operations of a premium hospitality organization. The role will drive robust financial governance, support sustainable growth, and provide strategic insight to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts and long‑term financial modelling.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital and treasury functions.
• Oversee capital expenditure planning, procurement payments and investment monitoring.
• Establish internal controls, financial policies and governance frameworks.
• Supervise all accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and financial statements.
• Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations, tax laws and statutory obligations.
• Monitor business performance through KPI reporting, variance analysis and financial analysis.
• Advise executive management on pricing, profitability, cost optimisation and capital allocation.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Strong analytical capabilities and commercial acumen.
• Proven experience managing complex financial operations, budgeting, forecasting and capital projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high‑performing finance teams.
