Head of Engineering Services

About the role

The Head of Engineering Services will lead all engineering activities for Jake Riley Limited, ensuring technical excellence, project quality, and alignment with client expectations and corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering strategies that support organisational objectives and industry best practices.
• Drive business engagements to achieve targeted revenue outcomes.
• Manage engineering project proposals and initiatives, ensuring they meet client specifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables adhere to quality standards, timelines, and client requirements.
• Monitor project performance, budgets and schedules, making adjustments as needed.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering innovation.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
• Promote talent development and continuous learning within the engineering department.
• Maintain transparent communication with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum, chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering management, technical leadership and project management.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines such as well cementing, electrical, drilling and construction.
• Proficiency with engineering software tools.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative mindset for working with cross‑functional teams.
