Head of Engineering

About the role

Sira HR is looking for a Head of Engineering to drive the technology vision for its health‑tech portfolio. Reporting to the executive team, you will shape strategy, own architecture, and ensure reliable delivery across all product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Own technical architecture, guiding decisions on microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Partner with Product and Design to plan releases, remove blockers, and balance speed with quality.
• Set standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and track delivery and reliability metrics.
• Establish cloud infrastructure, incident response, disaster‑recovery processes and ensure data‑protection compliance.
• Lead AI‑native product development, integrating LLMs and intelligent automation where valuable.
• Build and scale the data platform function, ensuring governed data infrastructure for analytics.
• Recruit, retain, and develop engineering talent, creating clear career paths.
• Coach engineering managers, tech leads and senior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
• Communicate technical trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders and align engineering with company strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience with proven leadership of large, multi‑product teams.
• Background in high‑growth SaaS, HealthTech or FinTech environments.
• Strong architectural expertise across backend, frontend, APIs, cloud, databases and distributed systems.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), CI/CD, testing, observability, reliability and security.
• Track record of managing large‑scale technical ownership, technical debt and major engineering initiatives.
• Experience with AI/ML integration is a strong plus.
