Head of E‑commerce

About the role

FoodCo Nigeria Limited, one of the top national supermarket chains, is looking for a Head of E‑commerce to lead its online sales strategy and drive growth across its multi‑channel retail network in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive e‑commerce strategy to increase volume, market penetration and margins.
• Manage partnerships with third‑party platforms and oversee the FoodCo e‑commerce site to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
• Monitor digital sales performance, set targets and optimise pricing, promotions and cost structures.
• Lead product assortment decisions, supplier relationships and expansion into new categories such as groceries and health‑beauty.
• Plan and run digital marketing campaigns, create high‑quality content and implement customer‑engagement programmes.
• Supervise logistics, warehousing and fulfillment, and integrate e‑commerce platforms with inventory, CRM and ERP systems.
• Build, mentor and manage the e‑commerce team and collaborate with marketing, supply‑chain and finance functions.
• Oversee technical teams, enforce quality assurance and ensure data security and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E‑commerce or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in e‑commerce management or digital marketing within consumer goods or retail.
• Proven ability to design and implement e‑commerce strategies that drive growth and profitability.
• Hands‑on experience with e‑commerce platforms such as Magento and digital marketing tools (SEO, SEM, social media, email).
• Strong analytical skills using Google Analytics, BI tools and CRM systems.
• Excellent leadership, cross‑functional collaboration and continuous‑improvement mindset.
