Head of Commercial

About the role

Our client, a rapidly growing FinTech and financial services company, is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Commercial to lead the organisation's commercial strategy, accelerate revenue growth and strengthen its market position. The role provides strategic leadership across commercial development, enterprise business acquisition, strategic partnerships, customer growth, market expansion and revenue generation, working closely with the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned with corporate objectives, defining priorities, growth targets and market‑expansion plans.
• Identify new customer segments, industries and revenue opportunities, and build scalable commercial models.
• Lead annual commercial planning, target‑setting, forecasting and budgeting.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of enterprise and institutional clients, cultivating relationships with senior decision‑makers.
• Drive consultative commercial engagements, negotiate complex deals and oversee successful implementation.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and provide strategic insights to the executive team.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B enterprise sales, business development and strategic partnerships, preferably within FinTech or technology‑driven sectors.
• Executive‑level commercial leadership with a proven track record of revenue growth and market expansion.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

What we offer

• Competitive net monthly salary ranging from NGN 2,500,000 to NGN 3,500,000.
• Hybrid work mode (2–3 days in the Lagos office).
