About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Head, Mines Operation to lead large‑scale mining activities in a safety‑focused environment. The role is responsible for efficient, safe, and cost‑effective extraction of raw materials while meeting production, quality, and regulatory targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all mining operations.
• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term mine plans to achieve production objectives.
• Coordinate drilling, blasting, excavation, haulage, and material handling activities.
• Monitor performance against budgets, production targets, and KPIs, optimizing equipment utilization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve mine performance.
• Prepare and present operational, performance, and production reports to executive management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 25 years of progressive experience in mining operations, including large‑scale open‑pit management.
• Proven success in mine planning, production management, and operational leadership.
• Experience in cement, quarrying, mining, or heavy industrial sectors is highly desirable.
