General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership for Droomwork Limited, working closely with the Board to execute the company’s vision and growth plans. This senior role oversees consulting, recruitment, training, investment and project management functions across Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement business development, sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue, client acquisition and market expansion.
• Lead investment portfolio activities including opportunity identification, due diligence, performance monitoring and risk management.
• Design and scale entrepreneurship programmes and enterprise support services.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations ensuring delivery of consulting, recruitment, training and project assignments within budget and quality standards.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and compliance with statutory and governance requirements.
• Develop and mentor employees, consultants and project teams to foster a high‑performance culture.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, partners, regulators and other stakeholders while safeguarding the company’s assets and reputation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, HR, Project Management or related field; MBA or professional certifications are a plus.
• 8–12 years of professional experience, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in business development, professional services, consulting, recruitment, project or investment management.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian business environment, especially the South‑South region.
