General Manager – Café Operations

About the role

Zen Cafe is looking for a proactive General Manager to lead daily café operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The role involves hands‑on leadership, staff supervision, and continuous improvement of efficiency and guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day café operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to improve workflow and productivity.
• Supervise staff performance, attendance, scheduling, and professional conduct.
• Foster a customer‑focused culture, handle complaints, and ensure high‑quality dining experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and visual standards.
• Prepare regular operational reports and communicate challenges to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a restaurant, café, or similar customer‑facing operation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and drive team accountability.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
