General Manager (After-Sales) Automotive

About the role

The General Manager – After‑Sales will lead all after‑sales activities for a major automotive operation in Nigeria. This senior leader is responsible for driving service excellence, profitability and customer satisfaction across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee service workshops, parts & accessories operations, assembly & production teams, and front‑line customer service.
• Lead large cross‑functional teams including service advisors, technicians, parts staff, workshop controllers and warranty teams.
• Manage multi‑location service centres and high‑volume after‑sales environments.
• Optimize workshop workflow, ensure repair quality and supervise preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Handle warranty claim processes and ensure compliance with diagnostic systems.
• Drive P&L management, revenue forecasting, margin analysis, cost optimisation and KPI tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years progressive after‑sales management experience in the automotive industry.
• At least 5 years in a senior after‑sales leadership role (e.g., Service Manager, Aftersales Director, General Manager).
• Proven ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and manage multi‑location service centres.
• Deep understanding of diagnostic systems, vehicle service processes, repair quality assurance and warranty claim processes.
• Experience with workshop workflow optimisation and preventive maintenance scheduling.
