Full-time Baker – Creative Afro-European Kitchen

About the role

The Baker will join Bistrot Samantha’s creative kitchen in Lagos, preparing a range of breads, pastries, cookies and specialty items that reflect the brand’s Afro-European identity. This full-time, on-site position focuses on quality, consistency and innovation in a vibrant, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Mix, proof, shape and bake artisanal breads, pastries and cookies according to established recipes and schedules.
• Maintain ingredient inventory, organize workstations and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and support baking experiences, pop-up events and Chef’s Table evenings.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards, monitoring temperature controls and proper storage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a professional bakery or kitchen, with a focus on artisanal and specialty baked goods.
• Reliability, strong time-management and the ability to work early shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills within a diverse culinary environment.
