Full Stack Engineer (Mobile) - Android/iOS

About the role

Tunjio Labs is looking for a Zero-to-One Mobile Software Engineer (Android/iOS) to help build a new relationship platform from scratch, using AI, data and human-centered design. The role is equity-based and is described as a co-founder-level position, with the team based in Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build the first version of the relationship app, with a mobile-first experience for Android and iOS users.
• Collaborate with product, AI and design teams to turn ideas into usable mobile experiences.
• Prototype rapidly: ship MVPs, test hypotheses and iterate quickly.
• Integrate AI and data-driven features that personalize user journeys.
• Lay down technical foundations for performance, security and scalability.
• Build the full mobile stack, including backend integrations and data connections.
• Define core mobile architecture, API layers and data flows.
• Work with AI engineers, designers and content strategists.
• Ensure the app is fast, secure and scalable as usage grows.

Required profile

• Hands-on mobile engineer who thrives in early-stage projects and thinks like a founder.
• Passionate about building mobile-first products from scratch, not maintaining existing ones.
• Curious about how AI and psychology can improve digital connection.
• Independent, resourceful and able to ship, test and learn fast.

Required skills

• React Native or Flutter for Android and iOS.
• Integration with Node.js, Django or FastAPI backends.
• RESTful APIs, GraphQL and cloud deployment (AWS, GCP or similar).
• Database design (SQL/NoSQL) and third-party API integration.
