Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Leadremit is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join its Lagos team in a hybrid capacity. You will contribute to building secure, high‑performance payment solutions that enable cross‑border remittances and digital transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain web applications covering both front‑end and back‑end components.
• Implement responsive user interfaces and integrate APIs to support payment‑related services.
• Optimize application performance, ensure security, and maintain reliability of the platform.
• Collaborate with product, design and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Review code, mentor peers and drive continuous improvement of the engineering stack and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in an agile, collaborative environment.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and designing scalable data models.

Required skills

• Server‑side frameworks and API development.
• Modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and CSS.
• Version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Testing and debugging techniques.
• Full‑stack development integrating front‑end and back‑end systems.
