Forklift Training Instructor

About the role

We are looking for a competent Forklift Training Instructor to join our professional training team in Port Harcourt. The role involves delivering both classroom theory and hands‑on forklift training while fostering a strong safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom‑based forklift theory and safety training.
• Conduct practical forklift demonstrations and hands‑on training sessions.
• Assess trainees’ knowledge, skills and practical competence.
• Teach safe load handling, lifting, stacking, maneuvering and equipment inspection.
• Ensure trainees understand workplace hazards and safe operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate training and assessment records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in forklift operation and training.
• Strong knowledge of forklift safety and operational procedures.
• Ability to deliver both theory and practical training.
• Relevant forklift/operator qualifications or certifications.
• HSE or industrial safety certification is an added advantage.
• Good communication, instructional and interpersonal skills.
