Fixed Equipment Specialist And Mentor

About the role

TAG Energy Limited is seeking an experienced Fixed Equipment Specialist to lead and mentor maintenance activities on a wide range of industrial assets. The role combines hands‑on technical work with coaching of technicians and planners to ensure high‑quality, right‑first‑time execution of critical repairs and overhauls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise repair, maintenance, and overhaul of boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, fired heaters, furnaces, reactors, columns, manual and control valves, oxygen service equipment, steam traps, and heat‑tracing systems.
• Provide on‑site technical guidance during major maintenance, start‑up, and commissioning projects.
• Ensure compliance with approved procedures, safety standards, and Operational Excellence principles.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for fixed equipment, delivering technical support and troubleshooting complex failures.
• Mentor technicians and planners, delivering structured on‑the‑job training and coaching on equipment fundamentals and maintenance best practices.
• Collaborate with planners to produce complete work packs, accurate Bills of Materials, proper spare‑part selection, job sequencing, and tooling readiness.
• Document technical guidance, produce maintenance reports, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert in industrial fixed‑equipment maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead high‑risk maintenance activities and mentor multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of safety requirements, EGTL standards, and reliability‑centered maintenance.
• Executive‑level professionalism with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
