Finance & Projects Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Finance & Projects Accountant to oversee bookkeeping, project budgeting, and financial reporting for our events, gifting, décor and corporate projects. The role will support cash‑flow monitoring, payroll preparation and tax compliance while working closely with Operations, Business Development and Management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for income, expenses, vendor and client payments.
• Track project budgets, actual costs and profitability across events and corporate projects.
• Prepare project cost reports before, during and after execution.
• Support cash‑flow monitoring, payment planning and receivables tracking.
• Reconcile bank, supplier and client accounts.
• Review vendor invoices and payment requests before approval.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions.
• Help with tax, VAT/WHT filings and compliance documentation.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
• Identify unnecessary costs, budget overruns and financial leakages.
• Support pricing and cost reviews to ensure commercial viability.
• Maintain audit‑ready financial documentation and filing.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, finance, project accounting, bookkeeping or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, budgeting and expense tracking.
• Familiarity with Nigerian tax and statutory requirements is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Sage or Xero.
