Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our finance team in Lagos. The role will support the Finance Manager in managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate records and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, receipts and customer transactions.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and follow up on receivables.
• Reconcile bank statements, customer and supplier accounts, and general ledger balances.
• Prepare and maintain financial records, supporting documentation and monthly financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial planning.
• Process staff expenses, reimbursements and other approved payments.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards and tax requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong practical knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Good understanding of bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA) is an advantage.
