Finance and Accounts Officer

About the role

The Finance and Accounts Officer will support Scarlet Finance Limited in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This full‑time position is based in Port Harcourt and involves close collaboration with the finance team and management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and process all financial transactions.
• Record income, expenses, receipts, payments and other transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash movements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Track receivables, payables and other financial obligations.
• Support budgeting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Assist with tax audits and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor expenses and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions.
• Support financial analysis and reporting as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Age 24 years or older.
• 1‑7 years of experience in accounting, banking, financial services or a related environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
