Finance Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Accountant to join our finance team in Lagos. The role focuses on daily reconciliation, liquidity monitoring, and supporting treasury operations within a fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of operational and settlement accounts.
• Monitor liquidity and cash positions across the business.
• Support treasury operations and fund movements.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Prepare treasury, liquidity, and reconciliation reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and assist with month‑end closing.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or treasury within fintech, micro‑finance bank, commercial bank, or similar financial institution.
• Proven ability to reconcile bank accounts, wallets, settlement accounts and general ledger balances.
• Experience monitoring cash positions, preparing cash‑flow reports and supporting funding decisions.
• Familiarity with fund transfers, payments, settlements and banking relationships.
• Strong attention to accuracy and compliance with internal controls and regulatory policies.
• Must have worked in the financial sector (fintech, MFB, or commercial banks).
