Field Pharmacist (Roving) – Dikwa, Magumeri & Maiduguri

About the role

The Field Pharmacist will manage pharmacy stock across multiple health facilities and a regional warehouse in Dikwa, Magumeri and Maiduguri, ensuring compliance with Good Storage and Distribution Practices. The role includes receiving, storing, dispensing pharmaceuticals and providing patients with treatment guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock records, create and update stock cards, and ensure regular inventory checks.
• Verify incoming supplies, prepare order requests, and coordinate stock transfers with the central pharmacy.
• Implement FEFO (first expired first out) principles, calculate average monthly consumption, and set minimal stock levels.
• Conduct monthly physical inventories and report any missing, damaged, or expired items.
• Provide patients with dosage instructions, precautions, and clinical advice based on doctor prescriptions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in humanitarian or challenging environments.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy and medical supply chain processes.
• High level computer literacy, especially excellent MS Excel and Word skills.
