Field Coordinator - Telecommunications

About the role

A client of the recruiter is looking for a proactive, technically skilled Field Coordinator in Lekki, Lagos, to oversee field service operations and manage service tickets from initiation to resolution. The role coordinates field engineers, monitors service delivery timelines, provides technical support where needed and ensures activities meet company standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). It suits an organized professional with experience in telecommunications or ISP operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming service tickets through the Customer Care Management (CCM) system, prioritizing and assigning them to field engineers by expertise, location and workload.
• Coordinate daily field operations, track engineers' movements and ETAs, and monitor SLA compliance, escalating delays.
• Provide first-level technical guidance and troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues to senior teams.
• Review field service reports, update tickets with completed work, and prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
• Liaise with Customer Support, Network Operations and technical teams, and communicate service updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety guidelines and quality standards, and maintain accurate service records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field; CCNA or additional networking certifications are an advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications, ISP operations, network support or field service coordination, including managing field engineers.
• Practical knowledge of network troubleshooting and telecommunications infrastructure, and experience in SLA-driven environments.

Required skills

• Ticketing systems (CCM or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
