Female Commercial Lead – Retail & Digital Marketplace

About the role

The Commercial Lead will drive product listing and shelf presence across pharmacies, beauty stores, supermarkets and online marketplaces. You will build strong relationships with retail partners and coordinate both on‑ground and digital activation to grow brand visibility and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pitch and onboard new retail and distribution partners, negotiating listing terms and shelf placement.
• Monitor stock levels, coordinate restocks and prevent stock‑outs or overstocking at retail points.
• Expand the brand’s retail footprint and manage listings on platforms such as Jumia, Konga, Instagram/WhatsApp shops and the brand website.
• Maintain online storefront content, pricing and reviews to maximise visibility and conversion.
• Plan and execute in‑store activations, product sampling, roadshows and community‑based marketing events.
• Gather market and competitor intelligence from the field to inform strategy.
• Support retail push with social media, PR and influencer/dermatologist partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or related field.
• 5–8+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in FMCG, beauty/personal care, health/wellness or D2C consumer brands.
• Proven track record of building brand visibility and acquisition funnels for new‑to‑market brands.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and stakeholder‑communication skills.
