Fashion Operations Manager

About the role

Our client, a well‑known made‑to‑order fashion house in Ikate, Lagos, is looking for a Fashion Operations Manager to build and own the operational engine of the brand. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will create structure, systems and consistency across production, order management and vendor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full made‑to‑order production cycle from order confirmation to delivery, ensuring schedules are met.
• Coordinate with tailors, pattern makers, fabric suppliers and other vendors to keep production timelines on track.
• Track active orders, flag delays early and troubleshoot bottlenecks before they affect clients.
• Manage fabric, trim and material inventory, including sourcing and re‑ordering as needed.
• Design and implement SOPs for production, order intake, client updates and vendor management.
• Build and maintain a simple order‑tracking system that gives the CEO full visibility.
• Support the client journey post‑order with confirmations, timeline updates, fitting scheduling and delivery coordination.
• Act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for tailors, artisans and external vendors, and assist in hiring and onboarding future operations staff.
• Track production costs, vendor payments and material spend against budget and provide regular reports.

Required profile

• Prior experience in fashion operations, production management, atelier or studio management, preferably in made‑to‑order, bridal, couture or luxury fashion.
• Highly organized, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple orders and timelines simultaneously.
• Clear and confident communicator with tailors, vendors, clients and senior leadership.
• Resourceful and calm under pressure, able to solve problems without losing composure.
• Comfortable being hands‑on in the early stages of a growing business, taking on tasks beyond a typical manager role.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, production timelines and quality standards.
