Facility Supervisor (Building Services)

About the role

The Facility Supervisor (Building Services) will oversee daily operations and maintenance of building services at the African Medical Centre of Excellence in Abuja, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and motivate a team of cleaners, porters and building services personnel, setting performance expectations and conducting reviews.
• Oversee daily cleaning, sanitation and infection control across offices, patient rooms, waiting areas and common areas, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
• Manage waste collection, disposal and recycling in line with regulations, monitoring efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building services, including supervising cleaning and maintenance staff.
• Professional certification or membership of a recognized professional body.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures and use of cleaning equipment.
• Understanding of building maintenance techniques and procedures.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, infection control principles and waste management guidelines.
