Facilities Manager for Temple Operations

About the role

The Temple Facilities Manager ensures the temple and associated buildings maintain their beauty, cleanliness, and sacred atmosphere. This senior position provides functional leadership for multiple facilities teams and oversees capital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Assistant Facilities Managers, custodial, grounds, and security staff across one main temple and up to four smaller temples.
• Manage capital expenditure and R&I projects, including inspections, compliance, permitting, schedule monitoring, and coordination of furniture and material deliveries.
• Maintain the 70,000 sq ft temple complex, including patron housing, visitor center, president’s residence, MTC, and area offices.
• Develop and execute annual maintenance plans, overseeing preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical, mechanical, audiovisual, and computer systems.
• Control department labor costs, manage third‑party contracts, and ensure project close‑out documentation is complete.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in facilities management, building industry, project management or related field; master’s preferred.
• Six years of facilities management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling ten years).
• Broad understanding of boiler/chiller servicing, electrical motor controls, audiovisual, electrical distribution, and plumbing systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in professional English and strong computer literacy.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and current passport for travel.
