External Consultant / Field Supervisor – Labour Market Assessment

About the role

Seismic Consulting Group is seeking experienced External Consultants/Field Supervisors to lead the implementation of a comprehensive Labour Market Assessment in selected LGAs of Borno and Adamawa States, Nigeria. The role will oversee all field activities, coordinate data collection teams, and ensure high‑quality evidence to inform vocational skills programming for displaced children and youth.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all field activities within assigned LGAs, ensuring adherence to work plans and methodologies.
• Manage and guide enumerators and field researchers, providing technical support during surveys, KIIs, FGDs, market observations, and value‑chain analyses.
• Engage with state ministries, local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to secure access approvals and facilitate interviews.
• Oversee logistics, security arrangements, and daily deployment schedules for field teams.
• Ensure quality assurance of collected data and submit daily operational reports to the Overall Project Coordinator.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field supervision, data collection, and stakeholder liaison, preferably in development or labour market assessments.
• Familiarity with conflict‑affected environments and ability to manage security protocols.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills, with the capacity to lead multidisciplinary teams.
