Event Business Coordinator Manager – Lagos

About the role

The Event Business Coordinator (EBC) Manager will oversee the preparation of event documentation and act as the main liaison between sales, property departments and customers. The role ensures a consistent, high‑level service throughout the pre‑event, event and post‑event phases for property events of average complexity, driving seamless turnover from sales to service and back.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage all event documentation, coordinating with sales, property departments and clients to ensure service consistency.
• Oversee event logistics and operations, greeting customers during the event phase and handing off to the Event Operations team.
• Ensure billing accuracy, conduct bill reviews with clients, and manage group room blocks and meeting spaces for average to large groups.
• Identify operational challenges, collaborate with property staff and customers to develop solutions, and integrate current event management trends.
• Act as liaison throughout the event lifecycle, participating in site inspections, supporting the sales process, and soliciting feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of experience in event management or a related field, or a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, manage multiple event details, and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
