Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender processes and developing compelling proposals for a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor fees.
• Manage the full tender cycle from document review to bid submission.
• Develop proposals that showcase the company’s strengths and value proposition.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Obtain and analyse quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Maintain a database of historical project costs for future reference.
• Communicate with clients, architects, engineers and internal teams to clarify requirements.
• Conduct value‑engineering studies to optimise costs without compromising quality.
• Produce reports and presentations for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least two years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on estimation and proposals.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with estimation software.
• Familiarity with AI tools for data analysis.
