About the role
The Editorial Manager will lead coverage of the African creative economy, producing high-quality stories and supporting the editorial calendar of our fast-growing platform. This fully remote position offers the chance to shape editorial direction while working directly with the Founder.
Key responsibilities
- Research and report on news and trends in the African creative economy.
- Cover industry events, conferences, and creative showcases.
- Conduct in-depth research and produce accurate, engaging stories.
- Support editorial planning and manage the content calendar.
- Maintain editorial standards and meet publication timelines.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in journalism, media, or content creation.
- Strong writing, research, and storytelling abilities.
- Genuine passion for creative industries such as fashion, music, art, film, and photography.
- Knowledge of the African creative economy and its key players.
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
