Drilling & Completions Manager – Warri, Nigeria

About the role

The Drilling & Completions Manager will lead end‑to‑end delivery of rig campaigns, covering workovers, completions and drilling operations for Nestoil’s Scorpio Drilling business unit in Warri, Delta State. The role ensures HSE compliance, well integrity, schedule adherence and cost control while coordinating multiple technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Validate well objectives, programs and AFE, ensuring logical sequencing of workover‑completion‑drilling activities.
• Lead daily operations calls, approve critical operations such as BOP tests, well kill, inflow tests, perforations, fishing and cement squeezes.
• Issue go/no‑go decisions at stage gates and monitor performance KPIs (ROP, NPT, flat time, cost per meter).
• Conduct KPI reviews, after‑action reviews and lessons‑learned sessions.
• Verify contract call‑offs, approve field tickets, challenge cost variances and enforce fair‑market pricing.
• Ensure compliance with NUPRC permits, well barrier policies and Good Oilfield Practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of D&C experience, including swamp and brownfield projects.
• Proven experience managing rig campaigns and well operations.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards, well integrity and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across day and night shifts.
