Dialysis Nurse

About the role

The Dialysis Nurse provides high‑quality care to patients requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. The role involves monitoring patients, managing treatment plans, and ensuring equipment is functional while supporting patients and families with education and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Check and record patient vitals before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
• Administer hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments accurately.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and promptly notify medical staff of any issues.
• Prepare and update nursing care plans and coordinate with dialysis technicians to set up machines.
• Educate patients and families on home dialysis operation, kidney disease management, nutrition, and exercise.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in nursing with a valid state nursing license.
• Proven experience working as a dialysis nurse.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Required skills

• Operation of dialysis machines.
• Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) certification (advantageous).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
