About the role

The Deputy Country Director – Programs supports the Country Director in leading Solidarités International’s humanitarian programmes in Nigeria, covering WASH, food security and livelihoods, and shelter across the North‑East and North‑West regions.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee implementation of WASH, food security, livelihoods and shelter programmes in the mission’s operational LGAs.
  • Coordinate activities with regional bases in Maiduguri, Gusau and Birnin Kebbi and their sub‑offices.
  • Manage the annual mission budget of US$6‑7 million and ensure compliance with donor requirements (ECHO, CDCS, INTPA, SIDA, NHF).
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local authorities, NGOs and donor agencies.
  • Provide strategic guidance and reporting to senior management and the headquarters.

Required profile

  • Experience in managing humanitarian programmes in conflict‑affected settings.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills with multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
