Culinary Instructor – Full‑time Teaching Role

About the role

The Culinary Instructor will join Origin Culinary Art School in Port Harcourt to deliver full‑time, on‑site training across diploma, professional and specialty programmes. You will guide learners ranging from aspiring chefs to home cooks, helping them build solid culinary foundations and advanced kitchen techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver practical and theoretical lessons for multiple culinary programmes.
• Demonstrate cooking, baking and pastry methods and supervise hands‑on kitchen sessions.
• Plan class curricula, assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene standards and professional kitchen organisation.
• Mentor students on career readiness and professional behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues on programme development and continuous improvement of teaching materials.
• Participate in school events, workshops and assessment activities.

Required profile

• Strong culinary background with advanced cooking techniques and multi‑cuisine expertise.
• Proficiency in baking, pastry and dessert preparation.
• Experience in culinary management, including menu planning, cost control and inventory awareness.
• Demonstrated ability to teach or mentor learners in a practical kitchen environment.
• Formal culinary education or certification from an accredited institution.
