Creative Event Planner – Corporate & Social Events

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Creative Event Planner to design, coordinate and deliver corporate, social, promotional and special events for clients across Port Harcourt and Rivers State. The role blends creative concept development with hands‑on execution, ensuring each event aligns with client objectives and brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative concepts, themes and event strategies based on client briefs.
• Lead planning, coordination and execution of a variety of events, from concept to post‑event evaluation.
• Design event experiences including décor, stage design, lighting, entertainment and branding.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, timelines and detailed project plans.
• Source, negotiate and manage vendors, venues, caterers, entertainers and production teams.
• Oversee logistics such as venue setup, transportation, accommodation, registration and guest management.
• Direct creative teams and ensure consistency with the event concept.
• Monitor budgets, control costs and ensure compliance with health, safety and legal standards.
• Maintain client relationships, gather feedback and identify opportunities for repeat business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Hospitality, Fine Arts, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional certifications in Event Management, Project Management or Creative Design are a plus.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in creative direction, event planning, production or project management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events from concept to completion.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
