About the role
Astria Learning, an edtech company delivering digital learning solutions, is seeking a senior Country Manager for Nigeria. The role leads revenue growth, builds university and institutional partnerships, manages government relations, and oversees the local team.
Key responsibilities
- Own and achieve Nigeria revenue targets while managing the full partnership pipeline from prospecting to signed contracts.
- Negotiate and close deals with universities and higher‑education institutions for online programs, LMS, digital libraries, and enrollment services.
- Maintain relationships with the National Universities Commission, Federal Ministry of Education, and other regulators to ensure compliance and accreditation.
- Represent Astria Learning with vice‑chancellors, registrars, ministry officials, and sector bodies as the company’s face in‑country.
- Recruit, lead, and develop the local business development, enrollment, and support teams, setting targets and monitoring performance.
- Report weekly to headquarters on pipeline, revenue, risks, and market intelligence, keeping CRM data accurate.
Required profile
- 8+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or general management, including at least 3 years leading a team.
- Nigeria‑based with deep local networks and proven track record of closing large B2B or institutional deals in higher education, edtech, telecom, banking, or similar sectors.
- Existing relationships within Nigeria’s higher‑education ecosystem (universities, NUC, Committee of Vice‑Chancellors) are a strong advantage.
- Ability to operate independently with full P&L accountability and remote HQ oversight.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s/MBA preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Nigeria.
