Corporate & Public Affairs Manager

About the role

FrieslandCampina is seeking a Corporate & Public Affairs Manager to lead its corporate affairs strategy in Nigeria. The role focuses on safeguarding the organization against regulatory shocks, building strong relationships with government bodies, and shaping a consistent corporate image.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual public affairs and communication plan aligned with regional and global objectives.
• Maintain effective contacts with federal, state and local government ministries, agencies, NGOs, and industry bodies.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, analyse their impact, and formulate company positions.
• Lead lobbying activities, build a network of business partners, academics, and key opinion leaders to advance company interests.
• Oversee media monitoring and business intelligence functions to inform corporate messaging.
• Coordinate representation of the company with government, scientific, trade, consumer, and academic organisations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate affairs, government relations, or public affairs within the manufacturing or food sector.
• Strong network with Nigerian regulatory bodies, ministries of Food, Health, Customs, and Immigration.
• Ability to analyse legislative proposals and assess organisational impact.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement and relationship‑building skills.
