About the role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Manager to lead our corporate communications, stakeholder engagement and ESG agenda. The role will shape the company’s reputation, drive sustainability initiatives and support policy advocacy in the FMCG sector.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement an integrated corporate communications strategy across internal and external channels.
- Design and execute sustainability and ESG programmes aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, NGOs, investors, communities and other key stakeholders.
- Lead reputation management and crisis communication, ensuring timely responses to emerging issues.
- Monitor government policies, regulations and industry developments and support corporate advocacy initiatives.
- Oversee preparation of sustainability, ESG and corporate affairs reports in line with applicable standards.
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans that support business and sustainability priorities.
- Lead and mentor the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability team, driving performance and professional development.
- Provide senior management with insights on emerging corporate affairs, sustainability, regulatory and reputational issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Management Sciences or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management position.
- Proven experience managing corporate communications, stakeholder relations and reputation management.
- Strong experience in sustainability/ESG programmes, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working with government/regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
- Good understanding of the FMCG business environment and regulatory landscape.
