About the role
Lead Promasidor Nigeria's consumer and market insight agenda across Dairy, Culinary and Beverages. Build a deep understanding of consumers, shoppers, categories, channels and market dynamics, and turn that knowledge into growth‑focused recommendations. Partner with Category Growth Squads to develop consumer‑led brands that drive profitable category growth.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a holistic view of consumers and shoppers, covering occasions, need states, cohorts, product domains, retail dynamics and emerging trends.
- Translate market truth into growth bets, brand plans, 90‑day priorities and concrete actions for Dairy, Culinary and Beverages categories.
- Shape decisions on portfolio, innovation, packaging, communication, pricing and channel opportunities using evidence‑based insights.
- Identify, size and prioritize growth opportunities, recommending actions to scale, fix, stop or accelerate.
- Define research methodologies, create briefs, evaluate suppliers and manage end‑to‑end research projects.
- Combine ad‑hoc research with retail audit, consumer panels, brand tracking and product testing to reduce decision uncertainty.
- Maintain integrated dashboards linking business measures, consumer metrics and marketing effectiveness.
- Produce concise insight stories, reports and presentations that drive actionable decisions.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences or related discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of consumer/market research, insights or analytics experience, preferably in FMCG.
- Proven ability to manage custom research projects and build strong supplier partnerships.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with multiple stakeholder groups.
- Additional professional marketing, research or analytics qualification is an advantage.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of retail audit/market measurement tools (e.g., Nielsen, NIQ).
- Advanced analytical capability with large data sets.
- Practical experience with quantitative and qualitative consumer research.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Tableau or similar data‑visualisation tools.
