Consumer Insights Manager – Lagos

About the role

The Consumer Insights Manager will lead the design and execution of both qualitative and quantitative research studies to uncover consumer behaviours and preferences for our FMCG portfolio in Lagos. This role partners closely with brand, R&D and product development teams to translate insights into actionable strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, design and execute custom research studies such as usage & attitudes, brand health tracking, and concept testing.
• Brief, evaluate and manage third‑party research agencies to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery and methodological rigour.
• Coordinate sensory and taste testing, including blind taste challenges and packaging usability studies with R&D.
• Develop consumer testing protocols to validate advertising claims and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contribute consumer insights to annual brand planning, influencing budget allocation and marketing strategy.
• Advocate the voice of the consumer in cross‑functional debates, challenging assumptions with objective data.

Required profile

• First degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field; MSc/MBA or professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience, with at least three years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in the bottling FMCG industry.
• Strong track record of leading end‑to‑end consumer research projects.
