Commis Chef – Luxury Hotel Kitchen (Abuja)

About the role

The Commis Chef will support senior chefs in preparing, cooking, and presenting high‑quality meals for a luxury hotel environment in Abuja. This full‑time position focuses on maintaining food safety standards, consistency, and exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes, including washing, chopping, marinating, and measuring ingredients.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, ensuring workstations are ready before service.
• Maintain food hygiene, follow HACCP principles, and keep all work areas clean and sanitized.
• Help with inventory tasks such as receiving deliveries, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and reporting low stock or damaged items.
• Perform basic quality checks on ingredients and report any concerns to supervising chefs.
