About the role
The Commercial and Business Development Manager will drive growth for a leading construction and infrastructure firm by identifying new opportunities, acquiring projects and expanding the client base across Lagos and beyond. This strategic position blends business development with commercial execution to ensure profitable project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Lagos and other target markets.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of clients, projects, tenders, partnerships and strategic opportunities.
- Build and nurture relationships with developers, consultants, architects, project owners, government agencies and private sector clients.
- Lead project acquisition efforts, converting qualified leads into proposals, negotiations, contracts and revenue‑generating projects.
- Coordinate the preparation of tenders, expressions of interest, quotations, proposals and pitch documents.
- Work with technical teams to gather inputs for bids, support pricing, costing, BOQ review and commercial analysis.
- Track tender outcomes, proposal status and client feedback to improve future submissions.
- Serve as the primary contact for prospective and existing clients, ensuring strong relationship management.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to combine business development capability with commercial execution discipline.
- Experience in opening doors, generating leads and supporting internal commercial processes such as pricing coordination and negotiation.
- Strong track record of managing pipelines, following up with clients and delivering repeat business.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with stakeholders in the construction and infrastructure sector.
