Coach Assistant – Passenger Support

About the role

The Coach Assistant supports drivers and passengers throughout each journey, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and professional travel experience. This full‑time position requires frequent interstate travel, including day and night trips, and a strong customer‑service orientation.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist passengers during boarding, the journey, and disembarkation, handling luggage, seating, and passenger counts.
• Act as the driver’s second set of eyes, monitoring passengers, road conditions, and communicating observations without causing distraction.
• Maintain professional communication with passengers, drivers, and the operations team, resolving minor issues and escalating serious matters.
• Verify passenger and trip details before departure, ensure correct boarding and alighting points, and complete trip reports.
• Handle passenger complaints, lost items, delays, and other unexpected situations calmly and professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum OND or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, transportation, or other passenger‑facing roles is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently on interstate routes, including weekends, public holidays, and night trips.
• Ability to spend extended periods on the road and adapt to varying travel schedules.
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, professional appearance, and strong customer‑service orientation.
