Chinese Translator (Mandarin-English)

About the role

The Chinese Translator will enable effective communication between Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders, the company and third parties. The role involves translating written materials, interpreting spoken communication during meetings, and supporting collaboration between Chinese expatriates, management, suppliers and local staff.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents, emails, contracts, manuals, reports and other business materials between Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Provide real‑time interpretation during meetings, negotiations, training sessions and site visits.
• Act as a communication bridge between Chinese expatriates and local employees, preparing bilingual presentations and reports.
• Proofread translated documents to ensure consistency, accuracy and confidentiality, and maintain organized records of all translations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Linguistics, International Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both spoken and written; HSK certification is a plus.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Chinese Translator or Interpreter, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, trading or a corporate environment.
