Children Code Tutor (Contract)

About the role

STEM4DEV is looking for a passionate Code Tutor to join its Benin City centre. You will work directly with children, introducing them to programming concepts and fostering a love for technology. The role is contract‑based and focuses on hands‑on, interactive learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging coding lessons using beginner‑friendly languages such as Scratch and Python.
• Mentor and support children as they work on coding projects and activities.
• Explain technical concepts in simple, age‑appropriate language.
• Encourage creativity, problem‑solving, and teamwork among learners.
• Incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals into lesson themes where relevant.

Required profile

• Solid programming skills in Scratch, Python, or similar beginner‑friendly languages.
• Previous experience teaching or mentoring children in coding or technology.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for digital education.
• Basic knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals.
