Chief Operating Officer – Occupational Health Division

About the role

We are looking for an accomplished, commercially‑astute Chief Operating Officer to lead the Occupational Health Division. The COO will translate strategic objectives into measurable outcomes, overseeing growth, operational excellence, financial performance and clinical governance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the division’s strategic growth plan, driving revenue, market expansion and profitability.
• Provide executive oversight of occupational health operations, ensuring SOPs, service standards and operational efficiency across all sites.
• Lead acquisition, development and retention of corporate occupational health accounts, building C‑suite relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Manage the division’s financial performance, budgets, forecasts and cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian healthcare regulations, clinical governance and quality assurance.
• Oversee industrial clinics and field operations, guaranteeing service delivery and SLA compliance.
• Champion digital health solutions, including EMR, telemedicine and data analytics, to improve service delivery.
• Build and develop high‑performing multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 7 years in senior healthcare, operations, commercial or executive leadership roles.
• Proven track record in healthcare operations, occupational health, business development and multi‑site service delivery.
• Strong financial acumen, experience managing budgets, forecasts and profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
