Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will lead Scale NXT’s finance function from its Lagos headquarters. This senior position is responsible for shaping financial strategy, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting sustainable growth across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance team and oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor key financial metrics and provide strategic advice to senior leadership on risk, investment and growth initiatives.
• Implement robust financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive operational efficiency and support long‑term strategic planning.
• Mentor and develop finance team members.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in finance with experience in financial planning and strategic financial management.
• Proficiency in preparing and analysing financial statements and deep knowledge of financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical abilities, including scenario modelling and data interpretation.
• Proven experience leading a finance function in a growth‑focused or consulting environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, tax practices and internal control frameworks.
• Relevant professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) and a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field; MBA is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management skills, with ability to work on‑site.
