Category Executive – Brand Management (Agribusiness)

About the role

Our client, a leading agribusiness company, is looking for a Category Executive – Brand Management to drive growth of crop protection product categories. You will work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute category plans that align with sales targets and market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of category plans aligned with sales and growth targets.
• Manage assigned product categories, including SKU prioritisation and crop‑focus strategies.
• Track product and category performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate go‑to‑market initiatives such as product positioning, pricing support and promotional execution.
• Work with sales teams to ensure product availability and effective distribution across territories.
• Support trade promotions, farmer activations, field demonstrations and seasonal campaigns.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis on pricing, formulations, pack sizes and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Marketing or a related field (minimum Second Class Upper).
• 3–5 years of experience in marketing, category management, sales operations or commercial roles.
• Experience in agro‑chemicals or FMCG is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and data‑interpretation abilities with a commercial, market‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with reporting tools for data analysis and presentation.
