Cashier – Customer Payments & Sales Recording

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Cashier to manage customer payments for LPG sales at our Marina facility in Port Harcourt. The role involves handling cash, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate daily sales records while ensuring compliance with company cash‑handling procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive customer payments for LPG sales and issue receipts.
• Accurately record daily sales transactions and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.
• Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company cash‑handling procedures and internal controls.
• Liaise with plant supervisors and management on daily sales reports.
• Keep the cashier area clean, orderly, and secure.
• Promptly report any discrepancies, shortages, or operational issues.

Required profile

• Minimum OND qualification.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role, preferably in a filling station or LPG plant.
• High level of honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Cash handling.
• POS system operation.
• Basic accounting tools for record‑keeping.
