Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive growth for Dicalo Consulting Group by acquiring new B2B clients for its recruitment and consulting services. Based in Lagos, you will work closely with HR leaders and business owners to expand the company’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and acquire new corporate clients for recruitment and consulting solutions.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with HR directors, business owners and decision‑makers.
• Present tailored recruitment solutions, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and close deals.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular activity reports.
• Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities and industry trends.
• Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure successful delivery of client requirements.
• Represent the company at networking events, conferences and business meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum three years of business development experience, preferably in recruitment or consulting.
• Proven track record in B2B sales, client acquisition and revenue growth.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and communication abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and capable of working independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using CRM tools for pipeline management.
